How do I use X Search Scraper?
Using X Search Scraper is straightforward:
- Open your browser and navigate to X.com. Perform any search query you are interested in.
- Click on the desired tab at the top of the search results page (e.g., Top, Latest, People, Media, or Lists).
- A download button will appear next to the tab title. Click this button.
- In the pop-up window, select your preferred export format (CSV, Excel, or JSON) and specify the download location. For media, you can choose to create subdirectories for each post.
- The scraping process will begin. Once completed or paused, you can download the collected content directly.
What export formats are supported?
X Search Scraper supports exporting data into CSV, Excel, and JSON formats, providing flexibility for various data analysis and storage needs.
Can I export media files?
Yes, a Pro account can export images and videos found within posts. Additionally, the extension offers the option to organize these media files into separate subdirectories for each post, making your exported data highly organized and easy to manage.
How do I set the default download location?
You can enter a folder name before saving any file. Consequently, during the download process, we'll create a new folder under your "Download" folder bearing the name you've specified. All the images that you downloaded during this session will be saved in this folder. However, if you do not specify a name, our system will automatically generate a new folder for your download.
How do I set the default download location on the Chrome browser?
To set the default download location in Chrome, follow these steps:
- Open Chrome and click on the three vertical dots (menu) in the top-right corner of the browser window.
- From the dropdown, select "Settings."
- In the settings window, scroll down and click on "Advanced" to expand the options.
- Under the "Downloads" section, you'll see the option "Location."
- Click "Change" next to the default download location and select the folder where you want downloads to be saved.
- If you want Chrome to prompt you every time where to save a file, toggle "Ask where to save each file before downloading" to ON.
What is the difference between a Free account and a Pro account?
Free accounts allow small exports (up to 20 results per category) and include basic features like exporting to CSV, Excel, and JSON.
Pro accounts unlock large exports (up to 5,000 results per category) and additional capabilities such as exporting images and videos from posts, making it suitable for large-scale data collection and analysis.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your premium subscription at any time. Click the PRO button in the extension pop-up window, then click ‘Manage Subscription’ to update your payment information or cancel the subscription.
